West-Coast Modern Craftsman Custom Home Design
ABOUT THE DESIGN
For this project, Windsail, we worked with the General Contractor personally on the conceptual design, including a 3D model, and construction drawings for the building permitting and construction.
Our goal was to make this a home that represented the clients, as well as each and every resident living or wanting to live in the area for the time of re-sale. A connection to the outdoors with modern and minimal west-coast features, entertaining, bright, friendly, functional, and family-friendly. Together, we made this design both inclusive and unique.
Here's what they had to say about working with Potts Design & Co.: “We got our permits without one question or concern on any part of the plan. The District approved them without even a phone call. Can’t wait to get started [on construction] next week. Thank you for all your hard work.”
ABOUT THE HOME
Welcomed by a cultured stone wrap feature wall at the entrance, this stunning custom west coast modern craftsman home opens up into the living area with a double sided fireplace that draws you to one of two private decks with unobstructed mountain views. Although it is located in a subdivision, through every strategically positioned window in the home is views of privacy and greenery. Move seamlessly throughout your living space with minimally vaulted central ceiling, various dining areas, office or guest room with bathroom, and wet bar, until you move up the open stairs and into an enclosed loft servicing all the bedrooms. The master suite opens to the other private deck and spa-like ensuite. In the basement you have a rec. room on one side and a privately accessed 1 bedroom suite on the other.
Not only was this home built by an incredible team of professionals, but it was also featured and toured on HGTV’s Worst to First as the Dream Home. Watch the complete episode now on Hulu or get a sneak peek of the episode by clicking the link below.
