The Ultimate Transformation Custom Home Renovation Design

ABOUT THE DESIGN

For this renovation project, we worked with the first-time client on the conceptual design and construction drawings for the building permitting and construction of this mobile home. The challenges were the City’s bylaw limitations on requiring 20% of the mobile home to remain and minimal square footage addition due to the local flood zone. The result was creating an extremely functional open floor plan with zero wasted space and great flow inside and out.

ABOUT THE HOME

Mobile homes are never built to truly stay in one place. However, this home was placed on and around concrete pilings, giving this home a solid base and great bones to put down proper roots. The first of many renovations in the area, this mobile home was taken down to its bones and transformed. The catch? We couldn’t alter more than 80% of the structure or add very much in the way of square footage, and this home needed more than just TLC.

While those restraints weren’t simple, understanding the vision of the client was - an open floor plan, an additional bedroom and laundry room, functioning spaces, and an updated look all within a tight budget. The result - a mobile home that looks nothing like a mobile home.
