ABOUT THE DESIGN

For this project, Aristotle, we worked with the contractor on the conceptual design, including a 3D model, and construction drawings for the building permitting and construction. We wanted to accomplish a sense of comfort that traditional craftsman homes provide. We did this by keeping the massing down and design minimal, and focused on the elaborate layout, details and finishing. We loved incorporating fun and trendy elements, but added a modern twist to make it feel more classic and mature.

ABOUT THE HOME

At over 4,000 square feet, this 5+ bedroom, 3.5 bathroom traditional craftsman home is very deceiving from the street. Inside, the home opens up and those fun yet matured elements are found throughout; the built-in coffee bar, wine fridge, basement home theatre, pool, and rec. room, and an over height garage with workbench, to name a few. A one-of-a-kind stairwell takes you to a landing overlooking the 2-storey front entry. Walk-in closets and custom built-ins give every bedroom a stunning finish, with the additional vaulted master ceiling and a spa-like ensuite. The den or office is conveniently located off the entry and the private guest suite is off the entertainment space in the basement. That’s what I call classic and mature (with a lot of fun!).
